About us
LKT Janitorial is a personable, female-led company providing commercial cleaning in London that specialises in the construction industry.
Our values
POWERED BY TECHNOLOGY
We believe in the power of technology to set up, manage and close out jobs. Where possible, we work remotely and communicate virtually. This frees up our time to manage our teams, and our client’s time to tackle their workload.
How we do it:
We collect project information via a user-friendly form designed to collect all relevant details in one go, avoiding back and forth emails and errors on site.
We manage our staff remotely using a secure, password-protected specialised app that aids communication and cohesion within our team and results in fewer mistakes.
The app stores client and job information centrally, geo-tags operatives’ location during working hours and provides accurate records of shifts undertaken.
Electronic sign-off forms notify LKT’s management instantly that a job has been completed, and allows us to quickly update clients with PDF records of work that has been completed.
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
We take our responsibility to the environment seriously, and believe that, despite being a small business, we can still make a big impact.
The construction industry overall continues to be one of the least sustainable industries worldwide, but as our clients continue to make positive changes to their working practices to increase sustainability and reduce environmental harm, we are there to support them every step of the way.
As we grow, we continue to take steps daily towards operating sustainably, and supporting our clients to do the same, particularly by meeting BREEAM and WELL requirements.
We aim to lessen our carbon emissions by ensuring our operatives get to site using public transport, and deliveries and collections of products and equipment are grouped together by area to reduce distances travelled by our drivers. We use local product and equipment suppliers and hire companies as frequently as possible to minimise miles travelled.
95% of our products are environmentally friendly and we recycle and reuse equipment as frequently as possible. Our on site product delivery and storage boxes are re-purposed high street bags and boxes, and we batch order products in large sizes to avoid product waste and excess packaging.
We regularly support our clients in re-furbishing raised access floor tiles through our specialist RAF de-tac service, helping divert used raised access floor tiles from landfill.
Our future aims include investing in electric vehicles for our drivers, lessening the impact of necessary goods transportation, ensuring that 100% of our cleaning products are environmentally friendly and supporting small businesses as often as we possibly can.
CLIENT-CENTRED
The construction industry is fast-paced, but we’ve always got time to ask how you are and have a chat about anything from your holiday plans to industry challenges. Our Director, Juliette, is approachable, as well as being a trained psychotherapist, so the art of successful communication and problem solving is at our core.
We understand the time pressures main contractors are under to achieve their deliverables, so do everything in our power to keep any required management and administration to a minimum.
How we do it:
As a client-led company, we provide you with a personalised service within a corporate environment. We have efficient internal and external processes in place that save our clients’ time and energy in initiating work and in the ongoing management of cleaning services.
We believe that it’s possible for subcontractors to provide an uncomplicated and stress-free service, and pride ourselves on achieving this by being open and honest in all aspects of our working relationship.
We are competent, easy to work with and pride ourselves on delivering an effective, efficient, and reliable service. Working with us is stress-free, uncomplicated and enjoyable.
We are effective communicators, with an approachable management team. We’re more than willing to pick up the phone to discuss any of your queries or concerns. We provide clear, user-friendly RAMS and work alongside a Health and Safety Consultant with over 10 years of industry experience.
WORKER FOCUSED
We are proud of our team at LKT Janitorial, and believe that their health, safety, wellbeing and happiness is key to ensuring we can deliver the best service possible to our clients.
We listen to our team, respect their lives outside of work including childcare duties and studying, and take on board their suggestions and recommendations. This approach ensures we have long-standing team members that get to know our clients and their needs, whilst developing their cleaning skills and site based knowledge.
To create a sense of community within our team of remote workers, we used a staff-management app that ensures everyone in our team can connect with one another, and has access to the same information, updates and resources needed to complete cleaning jobs as efficiently and skilfully as possible.
We support the training and development of our team, by providing extended health and safety training, internal quality management training and supporting our team in taking time off for further education.
We are an accredited London Living Wage employer, which ensures our staff are paid a fair wage that allows them to meet the living costs needed to work and live in London.
As we grow, our aim is to develop our training program for all team members, and support them in progressing to supervisory and management level.

Let us assess your needs
We believe an informed and accurate assessment of not only the scope of works, but the main contractor’s method of project delivery, is the first critical step in ensuring we deliver work of an exceptional standard. We tailor our work to suit your needs and working style. By understanding the job requirements inside-out, we are able to use the appropriate products and equipment from the get-go, guaranteeing a smooth start.
Remaining flexible throughout the job enables us to respond quickly when the scope of works, or a deadline, changes. Both our site and office teams are proactive communicators, and we have operatives on standby if the need for increased labour ever arises.
